Beautiful and delicious sweets, hiding fruits and many more.Starting with a banana part in two for two doughs. One black and one white.After “smashing “ each half banana I‘ m adding in each bowl 1 egg and 50 g of sweetener - Erythritol.
I’ trying to get rid of sugar in my cooking.I’m trying different things ,and also I need some time and tricks to make My Monkey think that she’ s having chocolate,when she ‘s not .
I’m still using sugar for some sweet bread and other till I ‘ ll find a way that works for her.
Is interesting and frustrating trying new ways .Of course I learn a lot, but I’ m also throwing things. I work so much and My Monkey puts her “ weird “ face.It feels as I lost so much time and energy , but as I said I’ m learning.
Going back to my doughnuts:
After mixing it well the banana mash , egg and erythritol , in each bowl ,I start getting ready the chocolate. In a bowl I melt 100g white chocolate with a spoonful of butter and one of milk , and again in another one 100 g milk choco with milk and butter.
Once melted I mix it very well .It will cool down in the process. Once cooled I ll mix it with the egg - banana composition.
Now I start to see my doughs : Black & White.
Important to mix well ,each composition in each bowl.
150g All purpose flour ,1sp baking powder and 1+1/2 tbsp oil joining their friends.
A perfect moment to add some ”smashed” nuts or vanilla extract, orange or lemon skin.
After mixing it well, it comes the fun part.
I ll use two piping bags for each composition , getting the bags in a tall glasses.
I pour the composition in each one.
I’ ll use a doughnut form, and the idea is to pour half white and half black in each doughnut form.
Having a bag in each hand it have proven to be a bit challenging but not impossible .I got my half white,half black doughnuts, and in the oven they go.
They need 20 mins, more or less, but you can try them in the traditional way, the toothpick test.
Poke the middle with a toothpick.If the toothpick is gooey, then it still needs some time. The little stick has to be clean , then it means : All done !
I will turn around the doughnuts and I ll paint them with a Choco Glaze. - a bit of milk chocolate chips ,milk ,butter and 1 sp cornstarch. Mix it well and pour it gently around the top of the doughnuts.
When My Monkey sees that glaze , she already wants to try it.
How important is to want to try it.
But ,of course she wants to try chocolate all the time.
